Srila Gurudeva: Goptrtve varanam, Krsna will always maintain us. Anyone who has taken shelter at the lotus feet of Caitanya Mahaprabhu, Narayana cannot satisfy him. Even Rama cannot satisfy him. Dvarakadisa can also never satisfy him. Only Caitanya Mahaprabhu can satisfy him by giving him these very high things. Caitanya Mahaprabhu can give such high things. Can Narayana give a position as a kinkari of Srimati Radhika? Never. So how can he be satisfied with anything else? But the associates of Caitanya Mahaprabhu can give this very easily. Rupa Gosvami can give this, Bhaktivinoda Thakura can give this, any of His associates can give this. They are so merciful. That is why He has brought all His associates.
Mahaprabhu was thinking, “Where will I go and how will I meet all these people? I need all of My thousands and uncountable associates.” Whom He brought from there, His eternal abode, all began to distribute all these things, saranagati and all of these teachings. Otherwise, Caitanya Mahaprabhu is saying, “Alone, what can I do?” So He was so merciful to bring so many and requested them to come with Him. Krsna even requested Radhika, “Can You come with Me?”
“Oh, why not? But I don’t want to give up Vrndavana.”
“Oh, in one sense You will be here and in lakhs and lakhs of forms You will be in lakhs and lakhs worlds at the same time, no harm.” So how merciful is He? You cannot imagine. So you should have so much faith that He will maintain and nourish and support us. He will give us all our worldly necessities like clothing, food, lodging, everything. If you will need anything, He will even bring a glass of water for you. He Himself will come and there are so many examples for this. But we have no strong faith in this. Then, dainya, atma-nivedana. What is dainya? If we have no dainya, then there is no need of saranagati. A needy person becomes surrendered to anyone, so why should we not be saranagata to Krsna?
Dainya and prema is the same thing. Dainya means humbleness, humility and krsna-prema is the same thing. These are only two names for the same thing. If anyone is not humble, then there is no prema at all. If there is no prema, then there is no humility. Never. Radhika, having so much mahabhava, prema, She is more humble than a blade of grass. She wants to be a blade of grass, desiring to touch Krsna’s lotus feet. She is thinking, “Oh, this grass is so fortunate. I cannot touch Krsna’s feet, but this grass is.” So try to follow all these things.
