You must not approach with a challenging mood thinking, “Let me see if he knows the answers to my questions. I will challenge and defeat him. I want to see how much he knows.”
You must approach bona fide Vaiṣṇavas in a humble manner. You must tell the Vaiṣṇava, “If I am qualified to hear, you may answer my question. I want to practice what you say.”
You shouldn’t say challengingly, “You should answer my question.”
In this iṣṭā-gosti, you can question me and I will answer. I will also ask you questions, and you should answer. We should always develop.
