After following Katyayani-vrata, the sadhanasiddha-gopis renounced everything, taking real sannyasa. As such, they attainted the moods of the nitya-siddha-gopis and were able to enter Krsna's rasa-mandala. Without the association of the nityasiddha gopis, it is impossible to develop these moods.

[Sadhana-bhakti is the engagement of the mind and senses in the limbs of bhakti for the purpose of attaining bhava-bhakti. [Krsna-prema is an eternally established reality; it is not brought about by sadhana. It automatically manifests itself in the heart that is purified by the performance of the various limbs of bhakti, such as sravana, kirtana, and so on.] This nitya-siddha krsna-prema (eternal perfected love for Krsna) is present within the Vrajadevis. When their hearts, out of compassion for a sadhaka, melt and a ray of their love comes down and enters into that sadhaka's heart, then it is possible for that sadhaka to attain their bhava.suddha-sattva-visesatma prema-suryamsu-samya-bhak rucibhis citta-masrnyakrd asau bhava ucyate

[Bhava-bhakti is constituted entirely of visuddhasattva. It is like a ray of the sun of prema, which softens the heart by its various tastes.] The sakhas are also present under the gopis' guidance. Without hearing about the gopis' pastimes with Krsna, it is impossible to be rid of the heart disease of lust, which has been with the conditioned souls since time immemorial.vikriditam vraja vadhubhir idan ca visnoh sraddhanvito nusrnuyad atha varnayed yah bhaktim param bhagavati pratilabhya kamam hrd-rogam asv apahinoty acirena dhirah

[A sober person, who first faithfully and continuously hears from his guru the narrations of Sri Krsna's unprecedented rasa dance with the gopis of Vraja, and later describes those pastimes to others, will very soon attain parabhakti, or prema-bhakti, towards the Supreme Lord, thus becoming able to quickly dispel his hrd-roga, his heart disease of lust.] However, a person who has no sraddha (deep faith) should not speak or discuss these pastimes. Don't hear about these topics from any ordinary bogus person, for then the hrd-roga will not go. Sukadeva Gosvami said, "If you hear this lila of Krsna stealing the clothes of the gopis, the hrd-roga that has been with you for millions of lives will be finished very soon." It is for this purpose that Bhagavati Paurnamasi gave the Katyayani-vrata mantra. Anyone who desires to be freed of his hrd-roga can chant this mantra, follow this vrata, and follow in the footsteps of the Vraja-devis and Bhagavati Paurnamasi. Without following this process, we will continue to move in maya for millions of lives. Gopi-bhava vina na paya krsna ki-without the gopi's bhava, Krsna cannot be attained in this world.
