sarvāparādha-kṛd api
mucyate hari-saṁśrayāt
harer apy aparādhān yaḥ
kuryād dvipada-pāṁśanaḥ
nāmāsrayaḥ kadācit syāt
taraty eva sa nāmataḥ
nāmno ’pi sarva-suhṛdo
hy aparādhāt pataty adhaḥ

Sādhakas should remain thoroughly attentive to avoid committing all the offences mentioned in the previous section. Even a person who has committed all kinds of offences is redeemed by taking shelter at the lotus feet of Śrī Hari. If a most wretched and fallen person (a two-legged animal) who has committed severe offences at the feet of Śrī Hari ever takes shelter of the holy name of Śrī Hari, then the holy name alone mercifully delivers him from all such offences. There is no doubt of this whatsoever. Therefore
śrī harināma is the best friend of all. But if one should commit an offence at the feet of
śrī harināma his falldown is inevitable. The above two verses are quoted from
Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu (1.2.119–20).
